The UK Environment Agency aim to reduce the risk of future flooding with a new 30m wide Tidal Barrier gate which runs along the River Orwell in Ipswich.  The Tidal barrier scheme has been installed via a joint venture between Volker Stevin-Boskalis-Atkins and Hollandia Infra which supplies the barrel for the gate.  To allow access to the void spaces, Winel b.v. installed watertight steel doors, using S355J2 grade steel which withstands a water pressure of 12m head.

Voor de nieuwbouw van het grootste kraanschip ter wereld in Singapore zijn deze week de eerste serie van de grootste formaat Aluminium ontluchters verscheept.

De ontluchters worden geproduceerd bij Winel Vietnam in Haiphong.
Alle ontluchters worden onder European Mutual Recognition en ISO 9001 geproduceerd en verscheept naar Singapore.

Voor dit kraanschip zijn 62 mega ontluchters benodigd met een doorlaat van ND 600 mm (24 inch). Deze ontluchter is van 100% zeewaterbestendig aluminium ALMG4,5 en kenmerkt zich door een duurzame sterke gelaste constructie.

Winel heeft alle benodigde testen succesvol afgerond en de ND 600 in haar type approval opgenomen én in haar productrange opgenomen.

Winel has been chosen as the supplier for the Tank Vent Check Valves for the E-Ferry project which is being built at the SØBY VÆRFT  in Denmark.

The E-ferry is a new project co-funded by the EC under the H2020 Research and Innovation programme involving the design, building and demonstration of a fully electric powered ‘green’ Ferry which can sail without polluting and CO2 emissions. It promotes energy efficient, zero GHG emission and air pollution free waterborne transportation for island communities, coastal zones and inland waterways in Europe and beyond.

Τhe overall objective of E-Ferry is to apply an extremely energy efficient design concept and demonstrate a 100% electric, emission free, medium sized ferry. To reach this goal lightweight equipment is needed. This is why our new aluminium CM valve has been chosen for use on this project.
