Several new contractsFebruary 2011
The Winel Industry Group, existing of Winel B.V. and Staalart B.V., have succesfully signed several new contracts with Amels, a famous global player in Yacht building, located in Vlissingen. In close cooperation with the designers of Amels, our engineering department finalized the pre-enigeering of several high-tech items including; Boarding ladders, Cranes, Transom doors, Tender store doors, Foldable bulwarks and a Sea terrace.
All these items will be supplied for the successful LIMITED EDITIONS Mega Yachts of Amels. With delivery scheduled for 2011 it gives us a solid base for both production locations in Assen and Blokzijl. Winel supplier of "Ship of the Year 2010"December 2010

vessel, with a hopper capacity of 31,200m3, ever built in The Netherlands.

Project Balder of Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC)October 2010 In close cooperation with the engineers of HMC, Winel supplied a complete new watertight door system on board of the DCV Balder. The installation consists of a large number of horizontal and vertical sliding doors and hinged doors. All doors are designed and tested to withstand a water pressure over 45 mWc. The engineers of Winel designed a complete new control system based on PLC technics in which others systems, as valves for ventilation and ballast water, were integrated. Service engineers went offshore in the Gulf of Mexico for the final commissioning. Winel fulfilled the aim of HMC to do the job during the operation of the Balder so the downtime of the DCV was as less as possible. Reinforcement of our Staalart teamSeptember 2010 Our Staalart team has been reinforced by a new project manager, Mr. Willem Heres. ABS type approval certificateJuly 2010 We have received a new ABS type approval certificate. In addition the biggest types tank vent check valves RM ND 400 and 450 are tested and approved now. The Type Approvals we have obtained can be easily found. Just select a product in the product menu and the certificates are shown in the right column. For the latest project of Sea Dragon, Winel will sign a contract for the supply of the Watertight Sliding Doors. In addition Winel entered several contracts in other offshore projects in the far east. With this Winel was able to expand its good reputation in the offshore market. Both Winel and Staalart succeeded in developing a top hinged transom door with an integrated 500 SWL swing crane for launching jet skies. The foundation of the crane has been integrated into the coaming of the door. Delivery of one compact unit makes the alignment with the yard much easier. Licence agreement with Azure Naval Architect February 2010Winel/Staalart and Azure-NA signed an agreement to develop and produce the patterned “Twin Swing Crane System” of Azure for luxurious motor yachts. BV Design AppraisalJune 2009 Winel supplier "Ship of the Year 2007"M.V. Deo Volente, the new heavy lift vessel of Hartman Seatrade, has been awarded "Ship of the Year 2007". She is the fastest heavy lift cargo ship in the 3000 GT class. We were privileged to provide one of the important features on the ship; the user-friendly and maintenance free doors and hatches with one-handle closing system and the Bolero tank vent check valves.
